What does the phrase Unseen Forbearance mean?It can mean hidden traumas revealed, invisible long-suffering of difficult circumstances or forgiveness without the permission of the perpetrator.
Even when we communicate these things to make them known, it doesn't mean it instantly changes things for anyone. The forgiveness might be for ourselves or others. The suffering we go through may be the unnecessary kind that is borne out of personal ignorance. It might even be the intentional kind because of one or more sacrifices made for loved ones. I am a grateful for the lessons I have learned through my adverse experiences. There's no doubt in my mind that we all have our own individual manifestations of Unseen Forbearance. I have a lot to be thankful for and that is what I try to focus on. In this spirit of generosity, I offer my works to you in the hope that they might inspire, challenge or even just help you feel less alone.
I like to inject a combination of philosophy, psychology, mythology into my fiction. My stories explore relationships and feature rich internal conflict. I like to read and write characters that think for themselves rather than simply react to external conflict. Theme is just as important as plot and character but can be the easiest thing to skip. Theme helps me with the cohesion and emotional resonance of my stories. You may even come to recognize in a figurative sense that Plot, Character and Theme are the original love triangle that's common to all your favorite stories.
Book One - Dusk's origin story and prequel.
Book Two - A standalone story that takes place approximately ten years later.
Read them in order if you like to have the backstory or start with book two since you can always come back to it later. The series has been written this way so you can choose where to begin and because everyone's experience will be different. Whether you choose to have your backstory in the beginning or in retrospect will be up to you. It's all about your enjoyment and I want you to be entertained.
